What A Day!

Thoughts from Dorian…

“It is special anyway. I’m referring to Sunday.

Christians all over the world gather to celebrate victory in Jesus. That is where we collectively remind ourselves of the Father’s love, the Son’s surrender, and the Holy Spirit’s comfort. But for the Nkulumane church family to have over 200 children in class and over 700 in worship on July 1, we knew this was extra special. Never had a Bulawayo congregation ever reached this milestone.

God smiled as hundreds of souls raised their voices to praise His name. Words of thankfulness rang out pertaining to God’s blessings upon His people in Matabeleland. Five came to unite with their Lord in baptism. And the day would not end until everyone received a full plate of food. The “commercial kitchen” consisted of six or seven pots over open fires behind the worship facility.

These Christians in Zimbabwe amaze me. With a minimal amount of resources at their disposal, they accomplish so much. The attitude of, “Let’s get things done!” has become the norm.”

HALLELUJAH, praise the Lord for the souls who strive everyday to be complete in His sight.
